I just kinda freaked out when you purchase some software, install it and it crashes outta the gate, etc.Access Navionics Charts and Features on Lowrance HDS Live,Elite Ti² and Elite FS Plotters Soon as all my 8mm's are dumped to mpeg, hopefully I will be done with this mess anyway. It's not really that big a deal, just more annoying if anything.

As is stands now if you have the DX2 drivers installed/enabled you cannot use the capture video feature at ALL (even if you had a capture device that was supported, a pci tv tuner card for example). If that's the case, the developers should of put some more of error catch block instead of crashing the entire sofrware app (esp if one of the hardware vendors you "partner" with is going to drop the ball, as it seems asdtech did). So yes the problem is with the software not being compatible with the DX2 driver. I was refering to my old Panasonic 8mm (that's what I use that feature for). It's the analog capture with the DX2 and vs10. Just pop out the mini dvd and get the video from that via vs10 on import. No the DVD cam does not have any issues at all with vs10. The problems you are having are not due to the software but a straight result of using "pimp" stuff I guess.īy the way, I wish you luck with editing the stuff you are getting from your DVD cam, you are going to need it no doubt. I don't know what a pimp DVD camera is but if you had put that money toward a decent digital video cam with AV through function you wouldn't have any problem at all. I got a pimp DVD Cam so bye bye 8 mm analog! FINALLY!Īre you trying to be funny? It ain't working. I only have 2 more 8mm tapes then hopefully I can run all digital from here on out. I am just using VS9 to get the analog I need then VS10 to create the DVDs.
